5 tips to make your leather apron last a lifetime
Let’s start off with an easy one. Make sure to remove stains after you used the leather apron. With simple cloth and some water, most will come off easily. Don’t use any soap on the leather. This will remove the natural grease of the leather.

Tip 2: Keep it at room temperature places
If your apron got wet, for example, because you also go BBQing in the rain. Don’t put it in a hot place. If you leather apron dries to quick the grease will come out and the leather will dry. Just hang it somewhere at room temperature.

Tip 3: Shoe polish is your best friend
To make sure your leather apron will last even longer it’s best to get some natural shoe polish. Rub it on the leather with a dry cloth. Leave it for about 15 min and with a clean cloth rub the excess of grease off. This will make sure the leather is stain repellent.
Leather stretches. In the long run, this can be quite a lot. The leather aprons are adjustable, so this is not a problem. The only thing is that leather only stretches out, but not back in. So if you put something in the loop or the pocket that is a bit too big, the leather will get back to its original shape. Keep this in mind.

Tip 5: Store it appropriately
Of course, this doesn't apply to you, because you wear your leather apron all day long. But if there is a moment you would want to store yours. Don’t do it in a closed plastic bag. Leather is a natural product and it needs some air. You can fold it and put in a closet, but don’t make it airtight.
