Leather pants come in all colors and they have become very popular in recent years due to their versatility. This leather item is worn by women and men alike and they could make you look formal or very casual depends on the style you go for. Tips To Protect Your Leather Pants
1. Choose high quality leather Pants
We always recommend to buy only genuine leather because high quality leather is less prone to suffer discoloration or even will make it easier to clean stains.
2. Never wash it in the washing machine
We know, everything is easier with a washing machine right? but leather isn't machine washing friendly. If you ever attempt to it you will kill your leather pants (or items) because they will soak up water (if not all) and they will get a dark appearance. That's why we are telling you never to wash it in the washing machine and instead use a wet washcloth.
3. Clean them only when they are dirty
Like we told you above, instead of using a washing machine use a wet washcloth. The difference between one another is the less amount of water that the leather pants will be exposed to.
To clean them, run a washcloth under warm water and add a few drops of mild soap. Then, blot the surface of your leather pants to remove any superficial dirt. To finish, leave your leather pants to dry in an open area with lots of ventilation.
4. Keep them out of the sun
I know the temptation to leave your pants in the tend under the sun are really big to make them dry faster right?. Well, please don't do it!. UV rays can penetrate deep into leather and also can left a darker spot on them.
5. Always use conditioner after cleaning your leather pants
Remember, after every cleaning session our leather pants or leather items in general get a bit dry and it's necessary to use a conditioner you clean them to ensure they last a long time.
